A simple setup into a nonsensical punch line is one of my favorite things. Ave Maria and the design of the defendant was the icing on the cake. You got a dumb giggle out of me, so I can't give any less than five stars.

What a treat to wake up to! Dry, awkward, and awesome as always.

You never fail to give me the heebie-jeebies. The unnerving feeling from the music throughout is fantastic. The VHS tint to everything is equally fantastic. The cardboard messages around five minutes in were frightening and a great transition to the mirror scene. I also can't help but look at the human in the short as a mix of Travis Bickle and Paul Dano's Riddler. Overall this short will have me looking over my shoulder for the next few hours. Loved it.

That’s so cool to hear, thanks very much! I promise your shoulder is safe.

This is some crazy quality lego! Gonna have to check out more of your stuff.

I love all the endings to these little animal shorts. Always think I know what's about to happen, then BOOM, something else. I also love how nice this short was for just being a shader test. Seems like a successful test. Amazing how it only took 15-18 hours to make this. Great Work!

Every and any ridiculous joke for a Spongebob parody that could be thought of was in here. It went from a weird porno Spongebob to Law & Order: Bikini Bottom real quick. That switch up there made it even better.

The animation was super smooth all the way through. I also loved the faces all the characters had. The less detailed Spongebob faces were all a good laugh, especially near the end. Great toon!

Let's start out talking about that intro. I love the sing-a-long type intro song. It's short and sweet. I also love how the intro starts us out with a taste of the art style for the animation. It shows the nitty gritty look that is soon to come. Good start.

I love how he dresses and acts like someone I would see lifting at Muscle Beach in Cali. I also enjoy the fact that Tommy skates. The music playing while he's skating and the people waving at him makes him seem like a respected community member.

I love the Knock Knock Smash bit. The sound effect of someone getting hit with a skateboard is very well done and comedic. His growl is so vicious as well as the way you drew his mouth. It all perfectly shows his fury. The music switching up also adds a level of tension. Good work so far!

The cop showing up right as he asks about the girl's asshole had me in stitches. Tommy's excuse of just looking for his business cards was also hilarious. The best part of this scene is watching Tommy get flustered about his business card lies only to smash the cop in the face. Good call having him just skate back down the street like nothing happened. Great animation!

My first impression watching this was to get tense. The music works so very well to strike fear into your soul. The lighting was the perfect amount of dim to add to my horror. So far, spooked well.

It got so tense...waiting....and....waiting.

SWEET LORD! Dear god almighty, have you made a frightening beast! His demonic voice struck a chord in my soul that might never be right again. Absolutely terrifying. Good on ya!

MiddleFingerRings responds:

Glad I could a-spook ya!

I love the start already. Arguing with the R Type gives some funny monologue and really introduces me to the awesome art style. I already think I'm in for a good ride.

The first little fight scene in the ship was badass. It showcased your working with an almost 40 year old style of anime, yet the way it all flows, you can just tell how advanced of an animation it was. The music in the scene was subtle, but kept you enthralled in the action of the scene.

The detail into everything is mind blowing. Watch someone or thing get blown up or watch the background as the ship races by. Everything has such an extra touch of detail bestowed upon it. I'm interested how long this animation took, the hours had to be beyond belief for this work.

The jokes in this are placed in almost awkward spots, which seems to make it flow as an anime better. Randomly visually impairing the main character, him shouting about H.P. Lovecraft, or the girl just making fun of his poor gaming skills. Good jokes, keep em' rolling.

Overall this is one of the better submissions I've seen lately. This might be one of the best I've seen plain and simple! I look forward to your next submission.

I love see puppets on NG, I especially love seeing puppets used to perfection like this. The song was great and described how most of us feel about taxes. I love the green fella's little monologue at the very end describing an audit and going to prison. He's how we all really feel about the taxman. Great music video!

InsertNameEnt responds:

Thank you! We know that having live-action shorts are a bone of contention at times on Newgrounds, so it's always encouraging to hear when someone enjoys them!

I would tell you about me but it's classified.
